Installing new Waterway Jets - lube?

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if I should use any magic lube when installing new spa jets. They're the waterway plastics threaded ones. I ask because the new jets are really stiff adjusting the collar.

I use a little silicone lube but others are against it because they feel it allows dirt or debris to stick. I have never had a problem but I like lube
