I have had pools for around 18 years and never had this problem until the last few years. I treat and get it perfect only to have it trend high in about a week.Any suggestions?

It's generally not a problem, it's just the nature of pools - pH tends to rise.
More activity in the pool and higher TA will cause it to rise faster.

All numbers are near perfect. The strange thing is when I took the cover off PH was perfect.Nobody has been in the pool yet this year,still to cool for swimmimg.

could be as easy as a return is pointing toward the top of the water and creating ripples in the water, that will raise PH..
Return is pointed downward and away from the skimmer just as it should be.
Unless you are chlorinating with trichlor tabs your TA is far too high. If you allow it to drop your pH will begin to stabilize.

I missed you posted your numbers, high TA will do it every time.. I keep mine at 60 or so 
Yup, the higher the TA the faster the pH rise. Most of us keep TA around 60. My pool loves 50
Tablets are very acidic so TA needs to be kept higher when using them to counter it. When using a more pH neutral source of chlorine (liquid, SWG, etc) the TA needs to be kept lower for a more stable pH.
Thanks guys. I think you have solved it for me. I have always ready 80-120 was in range. I guees I will do a partial drain and refill.

That's not how you adjust TA. Fill water has TA, you're just as likely to raise your TA doing a refill. Just keep doing what you're doing except don't add baking soda when your TA falls.
