HI. We just opened the pool on Thursday. The pool is running 24/7. Still cloudy. Fully vacuumed twice. Have Slammed it it twice using the info on the app, but still can't get rid of the CC. Air temp has been about 55-65 degrees F.

Water Temp: 58
CYA: 35 (In the process of raising)
PH: 7.2
FC: 2
CC: 5
TC: 7
When I do the test, the solution turns pink when adding the R870, but turns red immediately with the 5 drops of R0003. Using the TFT100 kit with brand new regents. I've done this for years, but first time battling this high CC. Looking back over other years data, I've never had CC much higher than .5.??

Haven't measured others yet until I can get CC under control (<1).

Do I just have to keep doing the Slam ? Using liquid shock to Slam it. Something eating the chlorine very quickly. Help! LOL

Stop adding CYA

Get your FC up to 16 and continue your SLAM.

You may have had some ammonia in the pool.

Chlorine is what your pool needs. Feed it.
