**I HAVE 7 DAYS to get water in good shape. Looking for advice!

Ok - thanks. I'm a little confused though. Pool math is asking for TA and Borate numbers to determine how much MA to add. May be a dumb question... But, how do I test for Borate? Not seeing anything on my kit.

Enter borate as zero on both sides, enter your Ph and TA test results on the left side and use the targets based on your selections in the 'suggested goal levels' at the bottom of the chart. That will allow pool math to calculate what is necessary to move your Ph and TA toward the goal, including MA if needed.

I suspect your test results for Ph are lower than your goal, meaning you do not need any MA, as MA is used to lower Ph. Washing soda and soda ash are used to raise Ph.

Ahh.. I was entering current/goal backwards - which is why I couldn't get the MA. Sorry - internet is down and using phone - which is a pain. My PH is high (currently 8). Looks like I need 62oz of 31.45% MA to get PH back down to 7.2. I've read to start by adding 50%, then check again in an hour. That'll be my plan. Please chime in with any more advice. Also going to pick up some Baking Soda - assuming TA will drop. Thanks!!

I added 40oz of PH drop (dry acid) yesterday. Checked last night and it was down to 7.5ish. Added 60oz of baking soda after that. Left the filter off for the day and just checked. FC is low (2), so going to bump that. PH is 7.5 so good there. TA is 100. I'm going to add some chlorine and run the filter. Should I do anything about the TA just yet, or let it ride? Thanks!
