I retested again. 4 drops from green to red. x10 is 40. Adding a few more drops didn't make it "redder"
Baking soda dissolves immediately, so the dust is not from the baking soda unless you added a different chemical at the same time and had a bad reaction.I added 4 lbs to increase TA by 20 ppm and now my pool has a white film dust I keep brushing into drain but it comes back all over.
Are you able to collect any of the substance? Have you tried dropping vinegar or MA on it to see if it fizzles?Any recommendation on removing the dust film?
If calcium drops out of solution and into solid form, would it then test at a lower CH level?I don't understand what's going on. Your TA keeps getting low, and CH also dropped by nearly 100 in a few days.

I put back in 10 lbs via skimmer a cup at a time.
I'll post pictures in the morning.Pictures of the pool and system?
Picture of the multiport?
When is the last time the filter was taken apart and cleaned?
Can you open the filter and take pictures of it as soon as it is opened?
Time to take it apart and clean it.Never taken apart and cleaned.
Posted pics. The new pool mess was all over. Cleaned it down but for the life of me I cannot get the strap back on. The top half of the case wouldn't seat on the o-ring.Time to take it apart and clean it.
Post pictures of the cleaning steps so we can look for any problems.
