Hi all, I've been meaning to write up my 'pearls of wisdom re. DE filters' for a while, with some of our members already firing up their pools, I figured I better get it posted :oops...

With new plaster you will need to clean the filter more often as the plaster dust does a number on the filter. Keep brushing the pool and keep the chemicals level and your plaster will cure and you won't have to worry about it as much down the road.
Don't forget to update your signature as well next chance you get. We scan that info at every post to help make replies more productive and accurate. Once you backwash/recharge, make sure to write-down your new (clean) PSI reading so you can compare it later to a potentially dirty (high) reading.
