High Filter Pressure *New Filter

Hi Everyone!

What would cause high filter pressure on a brand new FNS60? On startup the pressure shot up to 30psi and remained the same after adding the required amount of DE.

EQUIPMENT SETUP

Pump - Pentair Whisperflo 1.5hp
Filter - Pentair FNS60
In-line chlorinator
Heater - Mastertemp 250

Something internal to the new filter could be blocking the flow.
Did you open up the new filter before putting in into service to be sure no cardboard or plastic was in there and that the grids are properly installed?

What happens if you put your MPV valve in the recirculate position???
