Help! cloudy pool

I'd let my filter do its job. Are you still flushing your sand after pressure goes 25% over clean pressure?
Yes still backwashing filter when needed.
I went ahead and added a little clarifier since I didn't get any responses soon. I hope it don't mess anything up. But had to try something because this was taking a ridiculous amount of time. I guess we will see what it does.

The potential downside to clarifier is that over time it could build up in the filter and cause you to need to change out your sand. Probably not the end of the world, and it's only a maybe thing, so in your shoes and after so long, I'd give it a shot myself, even if I wouldn't normally use it.
Thanks I didn't want everyone to think I was going against what to do. But since it's been this long I felt I had to try something.

Yep, after it is clear you might want to consider changing the sand as a precaution. Also, not sure if I mentioned this but pool school talks about adding some DE to your sand to improve its efficiency.

I wouldn't jump straight to changing the sand. I would watch for any signs that the sand is channeling, like dirt being blown back into the pool when vacuuming to filter, and then I'd try deep cleaning the sand filter. If that didn't work and it still channels, then I'd replace the sand.

Clarifier did absolutely nothing either. Pool is still clearing very slowly though. I think it's just a matter of continuously filter until it completely clears. Thanks for everyone's help! Yall are great.

I am glad I am not the only one with concrete cracking around the coping of the pool! Yours isn't nearly as bad as mine, but I am guessing Ga doesn't have -10 degrees in January, and 99 degress in July!

Definitely more blue coming through. I think brushing and patience is about all you can do now, keep at it.
Yeah that weather sounds about right but maybe alittle hotter in July and August. And maybe just a few days here and there that we get that cold
Now that the pool is clearing. I can see a powdery substance settling on bottom of pool. I assume it's dead algae. Do I need to slam again to get rid of it? Or do i just keep brushing and filtering?

Stopped about a week ago. I know everyone says to keep slamming until you have clear water but I had been slamming for 3 weeks straight and I think everyone was just thinking it was a matter of filtering. Plus I was about to go chlorine broke

Then it's dead algae. Do you have a way to point your return jets down toward the floor? What you want to do is stir it up into the water so the filter can get it.
