You can use the 10ml level and one scoop of powder for the FC / CC tests. One drop is 0.5ppm. It’s going to save you a lot of reagents.

Also does anyone have any advice of a way to remove the gritty calcium buildup on the pool walls. It doesnt really brush off.

With a vinyl liner we normally do not speak of CSI - Calcium Saturation Index (CSI) - Trouble Free Pool. But, one way to slowly remove calcium is to keep your CSI below -0.6. Will not harm anything as you have a vinyl liner, but it will slowly dissolve the calcium back into the pool water. You need to enter your test data from a proper test kit into Poolmath to calculate CSI. Water temperature is also needed.

Thanks I got to get a thermometer.. don't know the temperature of the water but it's very warm. Hot here in georgia. And no shade on pool so at night it feels like bath water

Close is good enough. I suspect you are close to 90F pool water in your climate.

Only if a saltwater pool and only if you have added borates.

I have added borax . Here and there. Does that mean I have borates?

I did it without either and I get 0.87

0.87 CSI is very high scaling tendency.
Are you willing to post a complete set of current test results? I assume you do not use the Poolmath app or just do not share the data.

If you maintain those levels of pH, TA, and CH, the scale on the liner should come off over time. Brushing it will help.

What is the CYA? I cannot replicate that CSI. Mine are more negative.
