You've come a really long way and we're all really proud of you. Let's finish this up!
Look at this
CYA chart. The level of FC needed is 100% based on how much CYA you have. Since you have 80 CYA - look at that line only.
Min 6 - This means if your FC falls below 6 - the SLIME is on the way back and the water will get cloudy and in days it will be green - and more importantly - the water is UNSAFE!
Target - 9 when you add your bleach you can always add enough to get to 9, no matter if you were at 6, 7, or 2.5.
Shock - this is where you go for MAX safe killing strength and speed, and if you go over this, it isn't a great idea to swim until it falls down lower
If you look back on the last page, TexasSpash suggested you stay 7-9 i believe. At your CYA of 80, it is now your job to never let it fall below 6. So go add some bleach.
Lastly, did you do an
OCLT? Test after the sun down and test before sun up? It is a tad annoying, but when you go to the doctor and they take your vitals, this is that serious. We need to know what's up with your pool. If you lose too much, the answer is usually a
SLAM. In your case, it might just be boosting it up and keeping it at 9-12, we'll see what the experts say.
