Hayward C2030 internal pipes leaking

I've had a C2030 filter for a couple of years now and noticed when I was blowing out the filter last year that there seemed to be a pin-sized hole on the black outlet pipe at the bottom and there was water blowing out at the connecting from out outlet elbow and the wall. While getting the pool ready to open this year I tested the pipes and verified the leaks.

Is it normal for the c2030's to have these issues after only a couple of years? I've always had good luck with Hayward components and I've always completely blown out the lines for winter so I can't determine why this would happen if it's possible that it's just a manufacturer's issue?
