Hanging a rectangular Intex Ultra Frame Pool directly from the pool deck

The cement was thicker than we orderd so there was a very hard job showeling it in place. My builder was very angry. But we got a 50% discount on the price so that's good.

Sand will be deformed by leaks or bad weather. Total cost for ground work inkl cement was about 10.000$ but i also got the whole garden leveled. It was 2 weeks work with the digger.

set the pool up first. that way you can build the deck around it. that'll make you be able to build it more precise around the pool.

It might be hard to predict just how much the liner will stretch when full. I'd say my round one stretched a good 3-4" each side when full at the bottom.

This is how the deck will be constructed. Only the frame is shown. The numbers are metrics mm so don't be confused.
The one marked 45mm is the one that goes inside the poolsleve.

I am confused as to why you want to hang it from the deck. Why not build the deck around the pool and metal frame so that it covers the pool. Seems to me it would be a lot less complicated.

Im going to have a saltwater system, lots of people get problem with corrosion. The metalframe is destroyed in just a few years. Sweden also have a very wet climate, and that doesnt help much either. So i will just loose the metal and hang it on a wooden frame (the deck)

I can kinda see where jmc001 is coming from but it's not my project so I'm not going to judge.

but on the bright side, the salt system doesn't cause that much rust/corrosion with the intex steel frame. they have it coated with something that is supposed to help protect it.

But the Intex Ultra pool is made to be used with saltwater systems or with chlorine so I would assume the metal has been treated so that it doesn't rust??! I hope so, as I have just purchased an Intex Ultra pool with the saltwater system

even if you only get a few years out of the frame it can be replaced. Its much stronger than the wood.
