H400FDN igniter question

It looks like the Hayward HC Series HDF400 uses a glow ignitor. I think 24VAC is too low a voltage to heat an ignitor.

Why do you ask?

The nice thing about older heaters is that they were easy to troubleshoot. You can also find creative ways to get the heater started In a pinch. With my new Hayward, the control board blew out and I had no way to ignite the gas because the combustion chamber is all sealed up.
