What a bizarre idea. Last time I purchased majic sponges the package said to not use with chlorine. And this grandma's pool never need be green if she'd just learn to take care of it properly in the first place.

But hey, if anybody would like to tell me how melamine manages to remove several pounds of live algae and safely secure it in its tiny form factor I would love to hear it. Maybe we should just dump our CYA reagent in the pool, it's made of the same stuff. Or maybe, just maybe, grandma is a troll. Or clueless. I'm giving 50/50 odds.
