I had a 4 mo old IC-40 replaced under warranty. It was set to output at 75%. The filter was running 8hrs/ day during the spring mos (Feb-May). My FC was always at 3 until the SWG failed.
After replacement, using the same settings my FC jumped to 7. I'm now running my filter 6hrs/day(3 wks)and the SWG is set for 55% output (1 wk). My FC is around 5. I have a smaller IG pool approx 12-15 gal including the spa. The first SWG needed to be at 75% to maintain my chlorine level. The second is down to 55% output and is still producing more chlorine than the first.
Is this a sign that the first SWG was defective from the beginning?
If anyone wants to do the math; my pool is 13x26 free form with avg depth of 5ft
Thanks Guys
