Hey there. The stair is fine when there is no snow, but thank you for the warning! It's not so great in high wind either.

Here's me, near the TX/OK border:
I built the little igloo over the skimmer, to insulate it a little better. I'm pretty sure I could walk across the iced over portion, but I'm not going to try

The little hut I built over the equipment seems to be working. If the power goes out though...then I'm in trouble.

Sun is helping a lot, doesn't feel like 9F. Supposed to hit -2F tonight, which will be a little warmer than last night at -10F.

Fingers crossed....20210215_131737.jpg20210215_131749.jpg

This is what we are dealing with near Nashville. Sleet and freezing rain yesterday and now getting some snow.

Thats why people up north think us southerners can't drive..We don't get snow we get either sleet or a mixture so you can't drive on it period.
Plus our area might have 1 or 2 combo snow plow/salt truck to cover 5000 roads :)

Now I can't argue we don't have our fair share of bonehead drivers. They think they can anyway and crash, especially in the rain!!

I didn't get it until I went to DC one year and noticed the "snow" was fluffy and not hard as a rock.

We use to do business with a company in Canada and I was gripping about the cold..He said whats the temp " 22 and freaking cold in Atlanta" Dude it's -35 here so that's not cold" I couldn't argue with that.
-35 is not normal around here. I don't know if I've ever seen a reading that low. Ready. For. Summer.🌞⛱️

We have lived on both coasts and I must say our prairie brothers would criticize that we did not know how to drive in snow. Well it was a different kind of snow. You Southener's don't get to practice too often and you probably don't buy snow tires either. Also hard packed or fluffy snow is different than navigating through 6 inches of slushy, conditions on hills with cliffs and mountains.

Snow tire, what’s that 😎
Funny story, went to Boston for a class and they got 2’ of snow. We called and ask if class was cancelled and they were “ no why”. But man they had people scraping and salting all night.
