Another successful SLAM day is in the books. Today is supposed to be nice and cloudy so woohoo for saving that FC.
Poolio continues to March forward to the crystal kingdom! And, I've passed the OCLT every night for the last three (maybe 4, I've lost count
). We're still not done but, passing that means I let the kiddos in to swim and brush and they LOVE it.
Checked all my numbers today because it's been a while since I've done so.

CYA 30 on the dot!

I think this is why I like TFP so much. Because once that pool is crystal, there's not going to be some huge crazy adjustment I'm going to need to do with all of my other numbers. It's just going to be clean and swimmable! I really can't tell you guys how much I appreciate all of you. Even when I was hitting my slump. This morning I can actually see all the way down till maybe the last 6-in to the flat part of the bottom. I wish there was a way to get better at pictures. But because of those God forsaken pine trees it always throws such a glare. You all rock so much!

Assuming the pool has a light can you take a picture with the light on around 10 pm? Maybe try one from a second floor window.
You may want to clean the filter again and this time note the clean psi. I would add de till you have a 1 psi rise and see how it'll clear faster.
Only add the DE if you are hardly backwashing at all. I think there might be a little too much debris still in the pool and the DE may clog quickly.
Correct you are although I find larger filters at this point can get by.
I have cartridge filters so it might be time to switch them out (I have 2 sets that I flop back and forth)
I wish I did have lights in the pool. All I have is to Narnia looking lamp posts. And then a flood light on the pool house. But it really doesn't light up the pool that much. It just looks dark.

Me too... I have two sets.... the A-team and the B-team... the B team (the old ones) are used for the dirty work. I use them when I clean the crud out of the pool in the beginning of the season... and filtering the tree snot. When I get things cleaned up .. the A-team goes in for the bulk of the summer.
My kids love the floating glow balls.. they are more fun when the lights are off.. They stick them in the waterfall... play night tag.. or create interesting scenes as glowing well endowed runway models.
I just found this thread and couldn't wait to get through it. I was hoping the pool would be Crystal clear by now, but it is getting close. Welcome to the forum and making that pool A-OK TFP clear. Love the new pool terms that have been invented. Very appropriate.
