Alarm emails in the middle of the night saying “no flow”. I eventually determined the next morning that the breaker for that pump had tripped. Should I blow this off unless it happens again or is further research needed?

Is it a GFCI breaker? If so, what brand? They are known to have issues with nuisance tripping with a VSP. If it isn't a Siemans brand, you may continue to have an issue.

Very difficult to diagnose a problem when it isn't happening. It may just be a nuisance trip. You could check that all the wires are tight in their respective terminals.
