EXCITED!!!! BUILDING IN GROUND POOL!!

I have been a follower here for years and have loved taking care of allmy Intex pools through the years with guidance and lessons learned HERE! We are now building our in ground pool! My question is based on Intex pools, TFP lessons, and past experiences.
1. Can I be successful mainitaing an IG pool with just my knowledge from Intex, sand filter, etc. Do I hire it done?
2. Salt water still? Will there be any issues I need to consider for the new build if we want to continue salt?
3. ANYTHING else I need to know going in to this process!!!! Live in east Texas, on a farm, no trees around pool area!

You guys are awesome! I always recommend this site before pool stores!

Water is water. No difference in maintenance.

Absolutely. Be sure the SWCG is sized for twice your pool volume. Get at a minimum a 2 speed pump, or, if you are having automation, a VS pump.

Watch out for Kim and Maddie -------- they will spend your money on Bling!

Congrats on the decision to upgrade! Exciting times in E TX. Keep us posted and let us know what proposals you receive from the builder (equipment and such). We'll do what we can to help along the way.

I don't spend the money. I just make suggestions so you have the best pool ever that will shine with it's BLING and pretty water!!
