NOT MY POOL. Trying to help a co-worker who had a new pool installed and it appears the company has gone MIA. Also, I have encouraged her to join TFP so she can post on her own and get educated.

Attaching some photos of her equipment and it’s showing an error due to no water temp sensor and I don’t see where the water temp sensor was installed. Because of this error, she can’t program her system to run.

Can y’all help figure out what sensor she needs and I was thinking if she just plugged it in, without actually installing it, that should give her a temporary solution to program her system. Then she can find someone to come out and install it.

There is no heater. So a water temperature sensor is not needed.

I do not have experience with that automation. Will look at the manual.

The manual states the system comes with three temperature sensors. It MUST have the water and air sensors installed, regardless of a heater or not. I assume she did not get those sensors.

ECommand4 manual

Maybe the sensors were left on the property somewhere?

You can just connect them to the screw terminals if you can't get them installed in the pipe right away.

Do you have any 10K resistors?

At the very least, the air-temp sensor needs to be installed. It is what allows the system to engage "freeze protection" if needed. Without it, many systems will default to "on" just in case freeze protection is needed at that time, regardless the actual air temp.
It will just hang below the panel, in the open. The circuit board is marked where that sensor should be attached. The sensor will have a black and red wire. Doesn't matter which color goes to which terminal. The water temp sensor should also be installed, it can be left hanging as well until put in a pipe (I prefer after the filter) just to get the system to get rid of the "check system" light and work properly.
