Do you think this is successfully waterproofed and safe?

This is a pool blaster vacuum that ran off of a 9v battery pack. I took a 9v dc/ac adapter and connected it to it and then to an extension cord using all heat shrink connections. I then sealed the entire interior pack area with silicone and then heat shrink sealed the extension cord connections and liquid electrical taped it all as well. It runs perfectly and I think it is 100% waterproofed now but I wanted to ask you guys if you though this was safe or a completely dumbass ideaDBA9556A-B209-465B-8C6A-2015A0DB98E6.jpeg

I have no idea of how well the water proofing will work, but if it is all 9 volts it should not be an issue.

The only downside is if the power supply goes south and shorts the 120 VAC to the 9 volts side of things.. Ouch!!

Is the contraption plugged into a GFCI outlet?

The extension cord connection should not be long enough to ever get into the pool water.

If I understand you correctly, you put a transformer in the battery compartment, buried it in silicone, and ran your 120v extension cord out under the edge of the battery cover, which you sealed with tape?
I think it is sure to leak sooner or later. Make sure you always use a gfci plug for power.
 
I thought the transformer was near the AC outlet and the 75 foot wire was low voltage 9V.

No way would I put a 120V power cord into the pool without UL approved seals.

Only 9V goes near the water, never 120v!
