Dirt stain?

Can anyone help identify what this stain is from? At first it looked like a pile of dirt. I used pool brush n dirt scattered but left a couple good size stain. Could it be duck droppings? We have ducks around our area. Thanks

Do you have trees nearby? I would try two things first:
1 - Vitamin C tablet to see if it's iron
2 - Rub the area with a chlorine tablet to see if it's organic.

If it is organic the FC in the water will lift it out eventually. My steps look awful when I open but then clean after a few days of FC.

Still a good idea to check for the stain type as Pat said above

It was ducks. Just saw it take a big ol dump

Thanks and yes its going away. Need to figure out the best way to deal w/ these ducks lol
