Don't forget to check the foam on your skimmer's weir. Algae can hide there too. I've read about people who've fought algae for months and they pulled their light out and found huge clumps of it behind their lights. Anywhere where there's low flow will likely have much less chlorine than the main part of your pool, so algae can survive there.
