Copper causes more problems than it solves like stains that are extremely hard to remove on surfaces, turns blonde hair green etc. and isn’t an effective long term solution for algae (or short term for that matter)

The first step is getting a proper test kit so you can test yourself daily

While you wait for this to arrive simply add
5ppm worth of liquid chlorine to the pool each day to keep things from getting worse until you can properly do battle.
Pour it slowly infront of a running return, away from the pool wall, brushing the area.
Use
PoolMath to calculate the amount based on your pool volume and liquid chlorine strength.
ADD NOTHING ELSE.
NO more potions, hacks, whatever.
