So, first SLAM went well, until I had to go away for a few days post SLAM. Guessed wrong on the SWG percentage, and had to repeat the process by the time I got back due to hazy water and a FC of 1.
Coming off my second SLAM, finally go FC in the 6 range and started making minor adjustments in TA, CYA, CH and pH. Numbers are look pretty good, though pH dropped to 7.4 but now I have hazy looking pool water again.
Currently:
FC 7.5
CC 0.0
pH 7.4
CH 350
CYA 70
Salt 3000
To get there post SLAM, which ended 10/11, I did have to add 80 lbs of salt, 6 oz of Soda Ash on 10/11, 265oz of Calcium increaser on 10/13, .5 gal of chlorine (FC had dropped to 5.5 and I have 6 as deal target) on 10/18.
pH went up 7.8 so added 8 oz 20% acid, and 4lbs of stabilizer with clean filter (was 60) on 10/18. 10/20, FC down to 5, kicked up SWG and added 32 oz of chlorine on 10/20 which gets me today's numbers. Pool water, however, is showing no signs of crystal clear water.
Both SLAMS were 72 hours passing all tests before I started to let FC drop down to normal levels. Any ideas? Just more time as it stands w/o re-entering the SLAM process for a third time? Do I bump in some liquid chlorine to see if it will help w/o committing to another SLAM? So close to getting this thing back to stable.
