Coming off second SLAM and once again hazy water?

So, first SLAM went well, until I had to go away for a few days post SLAM. Guessed wrong on the SWG percentage, and had to repeat the process by the time I got back due to hazy water and a FC of 1.

Coming off my second SLAM, finally go FC in the 6 range and started making minor adjustments in TA, CYA, CH and pH. Numbers are look pretty good, though pH dropped to 7.4 but now I have hazy looking pool water again.

Currently:
FC 7.5
CC 0.0
pH 7.4
CH 350
CYA 70
Salt 3000

To get there post SLAM, which ended 10/11, I did have to add 80 lbs of salt, 6 oz of Soda Ash on 10/11, 265oz of Calcium increaser on 10/13, .5 gal of chlorine (FC had dropped to 5.5 and I have 6 as deal target) on 10/18.
pH went up 7.8 so added 8 oz 20% acid, and 4lbs of stabilizer with clean filter (was 60) on 10/18. 10/20, FC down to 5, kicked up SWG and added 32 oz of chlorine on 10/20 which gets me today's numbers. Pool water, however, is showing no signs of crystal clear water.

Both SLAMS were 72 hours passing all tests before I started to let FC drop down to normal levels. Any ideas? Just more time as it stands w/o re-entering the SLAM process for a third time? Do I bump in some liquid chlorine to see if it will help w/o committing to another SLAM? So close to getting this thing back to stable.

though pH dropped to 7.4
Because you added stabilizer and acid...both will lower pH. You also added Soda Ash, which raises pH and TA. You need to stop messing with pH. pH will rise on its own...no need to add chemicals to raise pH. Any pH in the 7s is fine. With a TA of 60-80, your pH should be fairly stable between 7.8 and 8. Stop forcing pH down below 7.6-7.8, and stop adding soda ash.

I see nothing in your logs that reflects a slam. Your CYA is now 70. SLAM level FC is 28. I'd start the SLAM.

Post pictures of your water...

Do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to determine if you need to do the SLAM Process again.

When you say "both SLAMs were 72 hours", did you just SLAM for 72 hours and call it good or did you pass all 3 SLAM exit criteria and keep SLAM level FC for an additional 72 hours before letting FC drop to normal target levels for your CYA?

Remember, use the FC/CYA Levels and keep FC near the top of the target range for your CYA. Never let FC get near minimum for your CYA.

What test kit are you using? Add it to your signature.
And while you are there, add manufacturers and model numbers for all pool equipment.

What is your actual city, state (not your zip code)? Edit your account details to reflect that.

No first SLAM from 8/12 - 8/30; then the drop in chlorine while I was away on a trip leading to SLAM#2 - 9/24 - 10/2.

72 hours additional SLAM after passing all SLAM criteria on both prior SLAMs.

Kit TF PRO SALT.

I will let pH be and see if FC any night drop. Will add manufacturer pool equip info that's not in sig.

I would scrub everything. Skimmers, inside ladder tubes, check the weir doors for algae in the foam, remove any main drains and scrub in there (pump off)...scrub!

SLAM going well, water even clearer than yesterday. Passed the test this morning, but will stay the course a few more days. That said going into the slam and just testing the FC (now 28.5) my CSI is -.43. Pool math is saying not to keep it below -.30 for prolonged periods of time to avoid corrosion and the like. I take it a "few days" of final SLAM will not be an issue?
