Well, after failing at keeping my pH low enough with low alkalinity I decided to boost my alkalinity, hardness and CYA.
My current chemistry is:
FAC 2.3 ppm
TAC 2.3 ppm
PH 7.9
Hardness 365
CYA 30 ppm
Salt 3200
Alkalinity 90 ppm
My adjustments were made yesterday. This morning my pH was 7.5 and this evening it was 7.9. My solar blanket was on all day. Temp is 86 degrees.
Any other ideas as to why my pH will not stop rising?
My return jets are pointed upwards so there is so water bubbling at the surface ( I tried pointing them down but didnt seem to get a good flow towards the skimmer when I did that). Salt generator is at 5% so pretty low.
I recently switched from dry acid to muriatic (no pool stores carry muriatic here because this province allows commercial pools to use stabilized pucks in an erosion feeder (dont get me started on that!) But I finally found some at a hardware store).
Any ideas as to what else could be driving this or should I accept that this is my reality and I should have an acid or co2 injection installed to keep it in check?
I did take a sample in to the pool store and the results were similar to mine (they used a Spin Touch photometer)
