Most efficient in cooler temps. If anyone is in the market for a heat pump for pool this could be a better option. Its not specifically for pools but will work.

Multiple Heat Pumps and Tanks can be ganged together to create larger systems for custom residential and commercial applications.

If you get 20 of them, then that is 308,000 btu/hr, which is pretty good.

Looks like you have to use their holding tank with the heat pump. Water connections at the heat pump are 1/2" NPT. Water connections at the holding tank are 3/4" NPT. Recovery is listed at roughly 20 GPH. At optimal conditions it would raise your 7.5K pool water about 1 degree evry 4 Hrs..

The heat pumps referenced are not designed for pool use.

They are designed for providing hot water to your house.

For northern climates, a ground-source (geothermal) heat pump is a better choice than an air source heat pump.

Most refrigerants are going to have a lower freezing point than CO2.

I do not know enough about CO2 as a refrigerant, but if it really is such a great refrigerant, then why is it not the standard refrigerant?

Engineers need to take many different factors into consideration and there are specific reasons that they choose a specific refrigerant.

Just because a manufacturer claims that they have the best technology and the most efficient process and blah, blah, blah; it does not prove anything.

Also, just because they post pictures of smiling, happy people and use words like "Eco" this or "Eco" that, it does not mean that the product is really as great as they try to make it seem.

What i understand of the progression of refrigerants is: CO2, Amonia, Perflouros. Now they want to go back to CO2.
