Citric Acid instead of dry Acid ?

No, that would chew thru your chlorine until all had been oxidized by more chlorine. Stick with dry acid or muriatic acid.

Dry acid is not recommended for plaster or salt water cells as it can damage both. But it doesn't affect acrylic or vinyl.
