I have a pool falls line for hot tub. The water is not going through the check valve.
When I took it apart, it moved freely. What would keep water from going through the check valve to the hot tub?

T,

If your water feature works when you turn it on, then the only thing that will keep the Spa "falls," or spillover, from working at all would be if the check valve is in backward or if the 2-way valve right above the check valve is broken inside.

Does your Water Feature work when turned on???

Thanks,

Jim R.

Water feature works when I turn it on, it is a separate water feature from the spa water fall.

T,

If the water feature runs, then it means you have water right at the "SpaFalls" pipe. So, the only thing that can stop that water from going to the spa is... the manual 2-way valve, or the check valve.. And of course I guess the pipe could be clogged or capped off.

My guess is that someone put the check valve in upside down..

I'd take the 2-way valve and check valve apart and see what they look like.

If you take the check valve out, you can stick a drain king bladder down into the pipe and see if you can force water to come out at the spa.

Thanks

T,

Not sure how the water feature works and the spa spillover does not work, if the filter is dirty. You'd think they would both be weak...

That said, the number one reason for poor water flow is a dirty filter. I'd clean the filter and see what happens.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Possibly backwards but if you turn up the RPM and it works then it’s correct. I’m finding some Check valve have different rated head pressure to open. Find one with very minimal pressure
