Can Sight Glass stay on?

I can not seem to get my plastic sight glass off. Will it hurt anything to leave it in and just remove the pressure gauge this winter?

I've never removed mine.... doesn't seem to have any problems over the years. Are you used to the cold weather yet now that you've left our mutual state?

Believe it not I was just in Evans over the wknd visiting my son. One day I’m going to have to plan a get together for us. And, NO, I will never get used to cold winters again!!
