Can high PH cause pool to get cloudy and turn green?

Water has been clear and perfect until about 3 days, when i noticed the pool was not as clear and has a green tinge in the deep end... I also noticed green water in the skimmer...
What could've caused this? could the PH been too high? We are surrounded by trees and not sure if it is just dirt or pollen but dont think it was algae. My PH was 8.0 and have since added MA to bring it down. I did add some LC yesterday and letting pump run 24/7 to help clear...
Current numbers... Don't want to add more MA, until FC goes down.

TA- 80
CYA- 70

Thank you- I'm in the process of SLAM'ing, but what is causing the algae is what confuses me... Its crazy how it can go from perfect to cloudy and green overnight- it must be the rain and tree Crud...I keep my FC pretty high, usually between 8-10 FC just to be safe.

FC dropped below minimum for a time and organics invaded. Algae blooms go from cloudy to green pretty quick.
