So I needed a new one to start this season being that the part that attaches to the vacuum head came apart. I got what I was told is a really good one from my pool store - but what garbage. It slips off my vacuum head every few minutes! I suspect they changed how they made these over the years (read: cheaper??) in that both sides are the same-size openings. My old hose - which lasted for as long as I have my pool - 31 years - had a slightly bigger end for the vacuum head. Hardly ever came off. Any suggestions? Guess I could try a hose clamp on the vacuum end.
