The ironies of life abound... I thought I would pass this on.. So my son (22) works for a community college and was designated as faculty so he could become eligible for the Covid vaccine.. Good for him. He isn't really a teacher but works with the students for his job, so that makes sense. Meanwhile, Me (62) is two years too young to make the age cut off, and I am considered an essential worker in my surrounding counties. I work in IT, I keep companies connected to their network infrastructures and provide a way for employees to work remotely. I have been interfacing with people since the beginning, wrapped in bubble wrap. But I'm not eligible... but if I worked at the supermarket fruit stand, I would be. What a mixed up crazy world we live in.
And so I wait in line cheering on those that do manage to get the poke! Go get'em and I will live the sore arms vicariously through you.
