Booster pump not coming on, communication lost error

H Jim, I did the rewiring, see the pic attached. Now, the pool pump does not shut off even on Service. I still have the loss communication and the booster does not come on. See pics attached
What shall do ?

There is a cable that is attached at the control head of the pump that is run to a Com port in the Easytouch. Does your pump have that cable?
 
If you have the cable, show us a picture of your Surge Card. It is located behind the upper panel that drops down.

I can see the pump is connected to the bottom connection on the surge card.

Put you system into the service mode and used the pump's control to find the F/W for you new pump.

Menu, Settings, Device, then F/W version..
If the F/W is 3.03 or 3.04, it needs an update.

As Marty point out, the pump's display must read "Display not active" when the EasyTouch is in control.

Hang in there.. One problem at a time.

to be clear..

In AUTO, the pump's display should say "Display not active" This means the EasyTouch is in control/
In the Service mode, the pump's display should show RPM or some similar screen and the pump's buttons should work.

When you switch back and forth between AUTO and the Service mode, often things take a minute or so to catch up. It is not instantaneous.

I suspect that the booster pump is not working because the main pump is not running, or the EasyTouch thinks it is not running.

When you try to use the booster, is the main pump on?

That F/W number does not look the same as the numbers we have seen from other users.. :scratch: I thought it was a brand new pump???

Show me a pic of the EasyTouch's display when the system is in AUTO and the main pump and booster buttons are on (red)

At the same time, look at ScreenLogic and see if there are any delays or alerts on and what speed does ScreenLogic say the main pump is running.

Yes the pump is brand new, 4/18/23.
The light is on on the easy touch. The booster lighted up but then it shut off. It keeps trying. But the light on the easy touch is still on and the app shows it on.
