Blisters

I’ve had my hot tub a little less than 7 months. We are cleaning for the second time and I’ve noticed these huge blisters all over the inside. Anyone have any ideas of what may have caused this.? The tub stays on and is in a regular heating cycle because we use it at various times of the day. Attaching pics. Also I use shock in it.

A,

If the tub is still under warranty, I would file a claim.. I am not sure what is causing the blisters, but I have a very old spa that had a blister.. they do not go away and will eventually "pop".. They are very thin and is just the jel-coat coming loose from the fiberglass..

Let's see what @RDspaguy has to say about it..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Yep, new spa time. I'd recommend you try for a refund, which means get a lawyer. This is nothing anyone did, it is a 2 layer shell with no bonding layer and poor adhesion. The next one will do the same eventually, and your warranty doesn't restart when they replace the spa, but uses the original purchase date.
What brand is it?

There is no question that those are manufacturing defects. There is nothing that can be reliably done to fix those. New Spa or refund are the only solutions that will make you whole and of the 2, a refund would be the best resolution. That resolution, as @RDspaguy said, will probably require a lawyer.

I'm thinking it depends on the retailer. I had all sorts of problems with a new Artesian spa a while back, the retailer came and took it back and gave me a full refund.

A good retailer will certainly stand behind the products it sells however, this one is 7 months old and has significant delaminations in the shell. This is going to be almost impossible to fix right and resell. The manufacturer is going to have to step in here.

Yep, you are right the retailer isn't set up to eat that.
