Bleaching/light staining under spillover

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed recently this lightening or bleaching of the stone under the spillover from my spa to the pool. I run it everyday 10am-5pm. Not sure how long it’s been like this - I normally clean the pool earlier with a brighter sun level and didn’t notice.

Any idea why? Pool chemistry should be linked. I aim for a chlorine around 10. I use liquid chlorine, and muriatic acid, as needed, using the pool math app and the TF pro test kit.

It is the type and quality of the stone that was used. Not much you can do about it.

You may have waterline scale on the stone that is affecting the look and you have Efflorescence - Further Reading in the sides.
