Walmart moves the product quickly so not likely to be old. Look for date code on side of bottle (sometimes on bottom) ex. 13144 09:45 TX made on 144th day . That's a good price

Right 47th day ( Feb 16) about 4 months old. Should be fine as long as it was stored properly. And you have no way to know so just use it and get some more. But look at the date, now that you know about the date code, and pick out the newest if you can.

I think you did the math right but wrong price(?) and wrong formula syntax (6.86/2)/(128*0.1)= $0.026/oz NaClO. Employee discount is 10% so my price is 6.18 for the two.
Yeah, forgot the left parenthesis on the last part, and I don't think .10 is different than 0.1 mathematically, although likely not correct to "math" people (which I am not haha!).

Ahh, that makes sense...0.24 is an okay price, I would check around and see if you can find some 12.5% for cheaper.
What are all these strange named places you guys are naming for that stuff? Pool places or local super center types of things? My pool place was way pricey on some 10% stuff... like 12 bucks for 2 gallons.

$19.81 UPS ground destroys the value from shopping online for it though. LOL
Pool store here sells 10.5% bleach, 2.5 gal for about $5. About $0.15 / oz if I did my math correctly.

Our Sam's club just raised their 3 pack from $8 to $8.50. Stopped at 2 pool stores, 4 pack of "shock" (10%) for $18... not good. Haven't been to Wal-Mart in a while, but probably same as Sam's.
MalWart also has HTH 10% @ $6.50/2 gallon pack. Not a fantastic price but not bad.
There must be another TFP'er in my area, there were a dozen bottles of bleach (121oz 7.86% @ $3 ea) someone had left on the shelf next to the HTH, ha ha.

Ollie's has 12.5% for 2.99 a gallon. I picked up a gallon to see how it does. From what I could tell it was manufactured on the 150th day 2013.

Wegmans in my area has 4 Gallons of 12.5% for $14.99. This is .23/oz which is good for my area and a lot lees jugs to haul.
Just saw 10% hypochlorite labeled as "pool shock" at local supermarket chain (Family Fare) @ 4 gal/$11.99...
