Nice! I love our fire pit and the kids ask nonstop to make s'mores! Stock up on marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers :D

We like to mix it up using different items for chocolate. A favorite is peanut butter cups instead of chocolate. Mint chocolates is a great one too. My favorite and easiest is to forgo the graham crackers and use fudge stripe cookies with a toasted marshmallow between.

Is it all glass or did you do a layer of lava stone underneath?

We have a very similar blue colored glass but I did lava rock up until about 3" from the top, then the rest is glass. I'm considering changing out the glass from Blues & greens to clear as the blue-green tends to hide the fire light quite a bit. I would love to see a shot of yours at night for comparison.

I love her fire pit. The flagstone exterior is really nice. Unfortunately those glass colors wouldn't work for me because my firepit is red brick that matches the pavers -

I think clear might look good. I still like what I've got and the kids love playing with their "crystals". So no changes anytime soon.

It's pea gravel underneath with the same 3" of glass. I read not to use lava rock because it is porous and can trap gas which is not great. I mixed 50 lbs of dark blue with 25 lbs of light blue. Came out good. Might order another 10 lbs of the light blue to get a mound look to it.

Never had an issue with the lava rocks. But if anything explodes I'll let you know :D

Mine came pre-mixed from ASG and I used 75lbs as well. The screen cover I ordered on Amazon for $30. Helps keep leaves and debris out of the pit.
