Backwash and pump to filter problem

Hey guys. I have an issue. This season whenever I do these steps:
-Backwash
-Pump to filter
-Filter
I get a stream of dirty water back into my pool. What needs repairing?

As the above poster suggests, backwash, then rinse, then filter.
