I’ve noticed my backup valve basically being very heavy and sinking down. Seems to be holding water. Vacuum works fine but I assume there’s an issue. Does anyone know much about these? Do they go bad?

Thanks. Once I have it apart what would be inside that I should be looking for? Is there a filter that may be clogged or anything that would be causing it to hold water?
