You'd be a great candidate for armstrong automation... the equipment does exactly what you make it do!

Ha. No hes just a pain to deal with and doesnt want to do any more work. Had he asked me my preference from the start it would not be an issue now. But you're right, there should be no reason he cant return it.

I suggest that you hold on to the remote until after everything is up and running and make sure you are happy. I "believe" that you can install both the remote and ScreenLogic on the same system. I don't think you'll want the remote after using ScreenLogic, but you never know..
The sad part about Matt's comments.. "...I've got a bid out to get an upgraded 9600 baud modem...woohoo...my Apple IIe will be smokin up the phone lines when that baby arrives!! I'm also holding out for Pentair to offer a Morse Code optional transmitter/receiver..." is that he is serious..... :sad:

I have screen logic on my laptop and phone and also have the remote. I exclusively use my lap top and phone for everything. The remote is in the outdoor kitchen cabinet where my pool guy can get to it and use it if he needs to without me around.
After the short email response from the PB (owner) that said "can't return it", I responded and challenged why they wouldn't take it back if it has never been used and also explained my rationale for why the screenlogic kit makes more sense for us with the spa and heat pump. I never got a response, but when I came home from work today, our remote was missing from the box on our patio. I get email notifications when guests come through our community gate so I knew the PB had been at the house, so I figured they took it. I confirmed it with the foreman. Not sure why they didn't take the box and packaging, but hopefully a screenlogic kit shows up in the next couple of days. I am pretty confident the PB isn't going to tell me about it.
