Anything I can do

So I am waiting for mortar to set properly for two weeks. Water level way below the third step. Water is just getting dirtier. Can I add anything to the water so control the algee? I am planning to add water back in on Monday June 8th.

Chlorine. Use a brush, sump pump, etc to mix it in. Would have been good to do before it went green but green water under the bridge! Add 5 ppm FC worth each day.

Can I use that little blue machine as sump pump? Is that strong enough?

You just need to get the chlorine everywhere. Hence the brush. The sump pump will help bring chlorinated water up from the depths (Sunlight gets it at the surface) but it won't replace some muscle.

Thank you both. Yesterday I started adding water back in to pool and added lot of pool shock powder and liquid chlorine. New water, old green water mix with chlorine. Still working to get it clean once I get the pump going.
