AGP getting built

Let it finish filling up to just under the top of the skimmer. I say that just in case there is lots of heat that will cause evaporation. Get the equipment going and add enough CYA (stablizer) to get the pool water to 20ppm. Right now you have 0 so use the directions on the bottle to find out how much to add to get it to 20. Put it in a sock or two (like you wear and hand it some how so it hangs in front of the return (eyeball that send water back into the pool). Then put as many tablets as can fit in the tablet holder.

If you wait until you come back you run the risk of a green pool :(

Hi Junesb! Congrats on the new pool!

We've got to get a few chemicals in there before you leave on your trip. When are you going? And what have you put in your pool so far?

Are you planning to use chlorine for sanitizing? Are you planning to take care of the pool yourself? Using the TFP methods?

Nohohohoo! That said, I don't know what Chlor Brite is, but if it, or the advice to use it, is from Leslie's, then the odds are against it being good for your pool. All you need right now is chlorine and a good test kit. But before you even follow that advice, can you answer the questions I asked you?

I just looked it up and it is powdered chlorine with "uv protection" in it. That is what we call CYA (stabilizer). You do need some of it in your pool but too much is not a good thing.

I have a link for you to read: TFPC for Beginners This will tell you how we care for our pools.

TFP is based on having our own test kits and only adding to the water what is needed. Most of what we add can be found at Target or Walmart! How cool is that??

I will wait for your answers to Dirk's questions to see where to go from here.
