Is it only for the sanitizer that you have to leave the hot tub open for 10 to 20 minutes after?

If you can leave the cover open for the cycle after putting in the chlorine, it will keep the cover from degrading faster by letting the byproducts and heavy chlorine dissipate.

Thank you. Yes, I do know that, but is it only with the chlorine & bromine ? You don’t need to worry about that when adjusting the pH or alkalinity?

No, although in general it is good to let the water breath a bit.
