Adding automation to older system

Currently have a Hayward Aqualogic PS-4 (SWG, looks like this one

). I've been reading a lot about the apps and home automation related resources with pools and spas and was wondering if there was any way to retrofit any kind of automation or wireless/phone based control to this kind of system? I keep saying "automation" but I realize that often denotes automatic control of several chemical dispensers etc. I'm not trying to go that far just yet. I'm more just wanting to control my heater, my lights, my pump. That kind of basic stuff. Any thoughts?

You can't really retrofit anything. You'd need to remove it all and go with a new setup. To control most components like pumps and a SWCG you need the same maker for all equipment. This really goes for lights too unless you are only looking for basic control. What is your budget?
