It looks like they've been working hard! Do they estimate how long the whole dig will take?
They finished up around 8 pm. The last thing they did was to hook up the temporary sewer. It will get rerouted after gunite.
It looks great!! Congratulations on the gigantic hole in your yard! Soon it will be your paradise...

Thanks all! We are pretty excited. The crew worked a long day today. I fed them breakfast tacos from Taco C this morning. I will probably get the same thing tomorrow when the steel and plumbing crews come. They did a pretty good job cleaning up the driveway.
Th PM texted me that we will be getting #4 rebar because of our soil. I can't remember what it was supposed to be, #3 I think.

Oh, and they moved my giant philodendron. Hopefully it will survive. I did give it some water. Since it had a curved trunk, they opted to turn the curve towards the corner of the house so it doesn't interfere with the pool or the house next door.

Careful with those Rhodies!!!! We wish we could have them here. So pretty! Good luck with that.

What a good start. Them being so nice as to move the plant! I hope it makes it. Look up the aspirin treatment Suz's talked about for her plants. She said it really helped they live.

Kim, of course I had forgotten about Suz's aspirin treatment...again! I did water it for about 30 min last night on really slow, but had to quit when it was running into the pool. It's not quite time to filler up yet! I think I will wait till after gunite on Monday. It's just a regular low dose aspirin, right?

I did a light read of these. I have not used aspirin but remember Suz's have great results. I am not sure aspirin could overcome the "Kim plant killing gene" LOL

Marla have you measured? Deep enough? Wide,long, etc enough? Add on about 6" or so for gunfire and plaster.
