I have a Intex metal frame pool. 15'x48". The hoses for the filter measure 1 3/4". I looked at several different stores sites for 1 3/4" hose. All I found was 1 1/4" 1 1/2". Is it like lumber. A 2x4 is really like an 1 1/2" by 3 1/2" or so only backwards. The pool I bought came with a vacuum but no vacuum hose. The vacuum head takes a 1 3/4" also. Maybe I would be better off to buy a vacuum that didn't work off the filter at all. Like one of the brooms or something like it. That way I would not be clogging up the paper filter.

Intex hoses are 1¼" I.D. The O.D. is a good bit larger. They are kinda like lumber because they're not exactly to the size.
