I have never used one but I see they are about $8 for the filter skins. I'm guessing they serve the same purpose as the skimmer socks do. So my question is why not just rinse and clean the Intex filter itself? Are they a lot different than they used to be 15 years ago when we had one? We cleaned ours 2-3 times per week or more depending on conditions and a filter would last all summer.
I often have to soak my filters every few days these are suposed to last possibly up to 2 seasons on 1 filter. I change the filter every 2 weeks. If it works it's about 8.00 per season instead of the 50.00+ I usually spend.
