Wow! Thanks guys, just called my local WM in Austin and he said they have "tons" of it. It shows out of stock online no mater which zip code I enter, you you should call. $2.50 for 10% full 128 oz is a deal.
Drove 30 miles to the nearest Rural King. Cases of 4gal, 10% for $8 (also had single gallons for $2.50)
Liquid Shock 4 Gallons LC4 by Twinco Romax for $7.99 in Pool Care - Pools Boats and Accessories - Sporting Goods : Rural King
Publix has their brand 8.25% for $2.89 regularly. Walmart has 10% chlorinating for $12 in Southeastern Georgia
For what it's worth, I totally rolled the dice. Bought 8 cases. But since you brought it up, the cardboard boxes read "PRO 06416" and "PRO 07516" while one of the bottles reads "075161216B". That puts it at March 2016!Don't forget to check the Date Code. Would hate to have a good deal turn into a sad story.
Thanks! Glad I could contribute something useful. This forum has been immensely helpful, and I haven't even opened the pool yet. That's a great price! Thanks for sharing. Welcome to TFP, Goober! Love your handle :jocolor:

Its based on the Julian date on the bottle. 16150 = 2016 and the 150th day of the year. Which is the 29th of May, 2016. Capisce??![]()

So if I know the manufacturing date - how do I use this information?
I know that old is bad - but what is OLD?
Well, darn. I don't know how quickly bleach degrades. I know that heat and sun exposure will lessen its strength. So avoid those pallets full of liquid chlorine left outside in the garden center of big box stores.
I'd aim for less than 4-5 months old, and always buy at a store that has steady trade so you know the turnover is frequent.
